Hi

Just about to purchase new rig and decided to see what you guys recommended for a good quiet case. A lot of you are big on the R2/R3 Fractal case for quiet. I always like endorsements and use the popularity of OC readers to sway tricky decisions. I was plumping for the new Arc Midi Version but a review put me off just now.

Im going to be using a Antec 920 Khuler on a i52600k chip at maybe 4.5 4.8 depending on how stable I can get the OC.

Would this case need replacement fans, additional fans or be just fine with supplied stock ?

ta peeps

I wanted the R3 case for a storage rig I was planning on building but OcUK were out of stock so I opted for the Arc Midi and im glad I did tbh cos I think its fantastic

Iv got a 1055T rig setup inside with an antec kuhler 620 and it does the job well and has some good airflow + the fans that come wiht the case aren't that bad at all but I always change stock fans to what I preffer

Also if you do get the R3 I doubt you'd have to go change the fans, they put the same fans in all their cases I think and going by what I got when I received the Arc Midi I'd say they'd be fine but obviously theya ren't the most amazing things ever as you get them free with the case lol

My setup of fans in my arc midi consists of , 2 x 140mm fractal stock fans at the front , 2 x 120mm xigmatek white led fans, a spare coolermaster 140mm fan I had removed from my cm 690 advanced case on the floor as intake and my kuhler is installed onto the rear 120mm area

Works a treat for me
