This is my least favourite part, I'm always afraid I'll get something wrong! If it sounds like I've done something wrong please let me know!

So I've plugged in the HS audio cable, the USB1 cable, the USB3 cable (thicker one), and all the teeny weeny ones that say reset, HDD LED, etc. (hopefully the right way up!)

I have my CPU cooler plugged into the one that says CPU FAN.

Now, fans. The R6 comes with a little hub in the back, I don't think you can control the fans individually and if that's so then fair enough but I still think I'll use the hub for cable management.

I've connected the 3 fans that come with the case to the top left 3 ports on the hub as they are 3-pin (names fan7, 8 and 9). There's a cable at the bottom which I understand connects to the PSU to give the hub and fans power (I don't have my PSU installed yet). But there is another cable on the bottom right with a label PWM cable and I have no idea what this does or where it goes.

Could anyone explain this PWM in laymans terms for me please? I've tried googling but it's not making much sense. I don't want anything to blow up when I switch it on!

I think it's for motherboard control, so you can plug the fan controller into your motherboard to control the speeds of the fans through motherboard settings.

Any 4 pin fan header. Fans can run on 3 pins but the 4th pin is for PWM and helps in controlling fan speed.

I've put it into SYS FAN3, it doesn't have to be 1 does it? Or PUMP FAN 1? Number 3 is nearest to the cable cut outs is all.

Doesn't make a difference mate, just labels so that you know which one is which when using the computer. I think maybe there is a difference for pump headers but as long as its SYS FAN you'll be sound
