Well I've had my Fractal Design R2 since April and when I was dusting the inside of the case today I noticed that some of the sound proofing material is starting to peel away.

The sheet inside the case above the optial drive bay on the roof has almost completly dropped off and the sheet on one of the side panels is starting to peel.

Has anyone else expirienced this, will Fractal/OC UK replace the case if need be?

Cheers

I've read that this is quite common with the R2's...and I think they addressed and solved the problem with the R3 (not that that really helps you).

As Reldar suggested, maybe something like strong double sided tape would be an easy fix solution?

If it's still under warranty, take a chance and see if they'll upgrade you to an R3.

I'll see what the warrenty situation is. It's less than a year old and like with many other other things I'd expect it to last a bit longer than 7 months.

Sure I could use tape or glue but thats not the point really. I was wondering if any other R2 owners have had a similar issue.

Cheers

Double sided Duck tape or spray carpet glue should sort that out :)

But if you are within warrenty, definately see if they'll upgrade you to an R3 - gotta be worth a punt :) either that or just a replacement R2 with better glue on the sound proofing

Yeah id email and try your luck... I know one case I had the fan was faulty... and although its a fan I just replaced the entire thing lol

Since you have already got the pc build done its gonna be a right chore to undo it, thats why a lot are suggesting glue/carpet gluespray etc but the R3 is a nice improvement.

I havent noticed it on my R2 myself but only had it for 2-3 months now...
