Hi Folks,

I'm just in the process of putting a Z690 build together.
12900k & 3080Ti.

My current build is in a Fractal Torrent case and is all air cooled.
For the new 12900K build I'll be using a Liquid freezer II 360 AIO.

What would be best here?

1 - Fractal Torrent with AIO in the front and fans on the bottom (possibly add a rear exhaust)
2 - P500A with fans bringing air in the front and the AIO in the roof?

Thoughts?

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Option 1 makes most sense if your happy with your case and adding bottom fans will add cooling to the gpu, which will negate any heat from the front rad

I think :D

Thanks.

Yeah, the torrent has fans in the base at the moment as stock.
My main concern was the heat from the CPU flooding the case, but you're right in what you're saying that the bottom fans should negate this somewhat?

I have both cases anyway as whatever I don't use will be going to the wife.

Think you can put a 140mm on the rear of the torrent case , arctic p14 pst are great fans.

If your unsure and the fact you already have the p500a then go with that or Build yours first test and if not happy change case.

Yip - already bought a P14 fan for the rear! :)
Once I commit, I'll be committed as the wife will be getting the other case and she won't let me rip that apart again.

I *think*, I'll go with the torrent as I do quite like the case and the bottom fans should help with the internal temps/gpu temps. :)
thanks.

(Unless anyone else has other thoughts!)
