Hey folks,
The heat was getting to one of my Shuttles today so I fired up XPC Tools with the intention of dropping the CPU voltage a wee bit. Well, I've become accustomed to Vcores topping out at around 1.5V and forgetting this archaic Athlon needs a good 1.8 to operate, I made a royal **** of the job and locked up the PC
I've just rebooted it to be greeted with:
So I've managed to trash the BIOS somehow. My question to the experts is: Should I go dig out a floppy disk drive or is it really fragged? A CPU crash shouldn't be able to wreck the BIOS ROM, right?
Cheers,
Sean
