Frame rates plummeted - graphics card kaput?

Booted up the other day and my monitor resolution had dropped way down. I set it back to 1920x1080 and didn't think too much of it.

However, I went to play some games last and they were completely unplayable due to shocking frame rates (tried Overwatch, WoW and Call of Duty MW2). They were all completely unplayable with frame rates of 2-6 FPS.

I briefly tested it again this morning before heading out to work, and it was the same. My first thought was that maybe my graphics card has gone kaput?

This is particularly devastating, as the wife is away this weekend, so I was planning some epic gaming sessions!

Any help welcome!!

Full specs:

Complete stab in the dark, but it might be worth re-installing the graphics drivers first. Seems very odd for it to stop working, but still be displaying things and not be crashing all over the place.

Thanks, I will try that when I get home.

Is there some kind of monitoring program I could use to track performance? A few years back I used SANDRA - could that be helpful?
