2-in-1 laptops as well.

Framework Laptop 12

Framework's other new project is the Laptop 12, a 12.2-inch convertible 2-in-1 aimed primarily at competing in the entry-level market popular among young students. A company blog post says that entry-level machines "tend to be janky, locked-down, disposable, underpowered, and frankly, boring machines."

The Framework Laptop 13 is also getting an AMD-based update

I was a bit worried with the talk about "second gen" they may have been moving to a newer 13 chassis, but seems it is still incremental changes to the original design. I have the AMD 7040 13, and don't think I will upgrade the mainboard, but great they are continuing the same path and hopefully continue to do so.

The 12 will be really interesting if it hits the right price point!

Framework Laptop 13 Pro

some infor for those interested

Further to my previous comment, am very impressed with the approach to updates, still standing by the original 13 design.

I hadn't used my 7840U 13 for a good while since messing up the keyboard when I needed to borrow a stick of RAM. Initially assume it was the mainboard, but was really not happy about "upgrading" given the offerings. I was very happy when it turned out to be the keyboard/touchpad cable rather than the mainboard connector!

It would have been especially gutting to have bought a new mainboard, found it didn't resolve the keyboard issue, and then have the Intel Series 3 revealed

I have put £100 down on a pre-order for the new screen, not sure if I will jump for any of the other bits for a while.

I am quite surprised they don't seem common/popular on here, not the greatest value but I think what they do is a good thing.
