i think this is the right Sub for this

Framework says it should ship in Q3 of 2025.

"Here was my first question: What does a company trying to build a more desktop-like laptop have to bring to the desktop ecosystem, where things are already standardized, upgradeable, and repairable?

The answer, at least for the Framework Desktop announced today: a gaming PC that takes advantage of many PC standards and offers a unique combination of small size and high performance but which is otherwise substantially less modular and upgradeable than a mini PC you can already buy or build for yourself"

migh be of interest. bit odd

a further update :

2-in-1 laptops as well.

  • Framework Laptop 12

Framework's other new project is the Laptop 12, a 12.2-inch convertible 2-in-1 aimed primarily at competing in the entry-level market popular among young students. A company blog post says that entry-level machines "tend to be janky, locked-down, disposable, underpowered, and frankly, boring machines."

AMD
  • The Framework Laptop 13 is also getting an AMD-based update

Do Framework sell in the UK?
You can't get them over here unfortunately, or I'd have really considered buying one of their laptops.
I'd really love an AI Max+ 395 Mini PC. Wont be too long until some are available, but this one looks really nice.
a cursory check suggests you can order to uk if desied with out to much issue
