Whats wrong with him atm ?

Everytime i see him play recently he's either shooting way wide, or playing shoddy balls in

Although his long range passing has been alright

Like i've said about 4 months ago, he's passed his best

Some people still thinks his best is yet to come however.

Thou i can't dismiss the fact that he does get some good scores on my fantasy football league now and again.

What do you see in him that makes him a good player? Or, at least a player good enough to be touted as one of the best midfielders in the world? Obviously he is a good player, but nothing like he is said to be. IMO of course.

Passing, goalscoring, movement, engine.

I think the reason people don't rate him as highly as he deserves is they compare him to Steven Gerrard. Gerrard looks a better player, and probably is a better, if different, player. Its more obvious that gerrard is at the top of his game. If you don't know what you're looking for maybe its more difficult to see the player in Lamps.

I would rate him much, much more..if only he would not shoot so often, he has a good inaccurate shot. I know what i am looking for, i just really hate the amount of shots he has, doesn't he have more attempts than anyone else in the league?

To be fair it's not how many shots a player has that counts, it's how many go in, which is still quite a lot from Lampard.

I think his conduct on the pitch is disgusting. He is forever moaning at the ref, pushing players (like he did tonight against Villa) and basically spitting his dummy out!

That just proves he's very inaccurate with his shooting, what was it in the world cup ? Most shots by any player, but zero goals and a handful on target. And the fact that they seems to get deflected a lot this season, last season he was banging them in, now he's like shooting and hoping.

Can't argue about his work rates, his passing and dedication to his team thou.

Yeah, he does score a fair few. But i just cant help but think, how many goals would it be if he passed on some of them occasions that he would normally shoot? You know, like every other attacking midfielder in at least england, they all normally look for a killer pass, he doesn't do that enough IMO, he seems more interested in the killer shot, which doesn't happen enough.
