I hope this is ok putting in here and not the other software but I thought my questions would get better answered in here being it game related.

I installed fraps recently as I have been having some fun left4dead games and thought I would share some of those experiences with a friend.

My problem is that when I recorded it only had the sound from my mic?

Any particular settings for this?

Also which program do you guys use to compact and seam together as it only seems to record in seperate files of 1.30mins.

Thanks

Not sure about the fraps issue. play with the settings.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 8 to knit it all together :)

Fraps will record say a 5 min film to 300mb, vegas will compress it to 6mb.

Open fraps, click on the movies tab and change the sound input setting from "mic" to "what you hear"

^^ If that doesn't work then you're probably having the same issue as me where Fraps doen't record the ingame sound when my usb headset is plugged in.

As for encoding the files, I used to use windows movie maker until I discovered this neat little app called Winnydows.

It's pretty straight forward to use but here's a quick youtube tutorial anyway.
