Fraud rant!!!!

Wow, what a few days.

I buy a camera off the bay for my dad. Seller has 435 - 99.5% feedback and everything went fine. Then i get an e-mail telling me they cannot deliver to my delivery address as it is unconfirmed. But if pay via instant bank transfer, they can Alternatively, i can have a refund. Fair enough i thought, but I smelt a rat, so i contact them requesting a refund.

No response within a couple of hours, so i check the item and its disappeard, from both my account and the bay itself. I then check the seller, and as of 1 day after my transaction, he is no longer a registered user. The money has gone from Paypal, but clearly no camera is coming.

Are Paypal any good from a buyers point of view? I did everything by the book.


Then,

I get home this morning slightly groggy from our christmas party, check my online banking and see some **** is using my debit card to top up his/her mobiles. I now have to book a day off work on Monday, to go and see the bank and try to ge my money back.

Its not like i am not careful either.

Sorry for the rant, but i am very, very angry this morning. Just needed to get it off my chest.
