In Windows XP, I could easily locate the Temporary Internet Files folder under my login name. And extract some files which I need.

Under Windows Vista, it has not taken me more than 15 minutes and I still can't find what I am looking for. I have already checked the boxes that enable these file/folders to show up.

One other most annoying thing is that when I was trying to open up a folder under my Login name, Vista tells me I have no access to it.!

I think this is where it is not to sure
C:\Users\*insert user name here*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

EDIT : it falls under the hidden/protected files settings so untick/check em and should be there.

This is correct...

If you need a shortcut, then make one....

If you need something in particular from a webpage, such as a flash file, there are ways to do it without having to go into Temporary Internet Files.

It's not a folder you would typically need regular access to, unless there's something specific you need from it?
