Alpha Invite - Rocket League (Car Football/Soccer)

Hi All

Theres a new game thats just recently come out on PC, you can download it through Steam and its called Rocket League.

Rocket League is probably the most addictive game I've played. Its a game where you play football/soccer with rocket powered cars. For those of you with a PS3 you may have seen/played the game previously under the name Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle-Cars (SARPBC). Well after 5 years the new version is out on PC, Graphics are stunning, Gameplay is almost bug/lag free, theres dedicated servers and regular updates based on our feedback.

I strongly recommend you try this game, It's currently going to have a decent amount new players joining soon so it's the perfect time to give it a try.

So far theres been one screen shot released by the developers(unfortunately I am unable to show any video gameplay during the "alpha" stage)

If you want to get an idea of what the gameplay is like, the old version of Rocket League has plenty of videos out, I recommend you check out the community Montage.

Okay fair enough I haven't posted in a while but thought this would be an appropriate place to post an option to join a PC game alpha.
 
lel epic troll xD.

Been playing this a lot recently. great game to play. especially with friends. I wish the servers weren't only 7pm-10pm. I guess its a good thing since I would spend too much time on it :p

End of the day its an option to play a free alpha, there may be some people (as above) that have interest in the game, Not sure why my post count has to do with the topic, can't you just take my post for what its worth instead. If the game doesn't interest you, you can easily just move along.

I've heard of it. A friend told me about it recently and its a great game. Self-promotion is making a thread about a great game and offering people alpha invites to it?

I was gonna make the thread shortly but he got to it before me.

Nope but trying to get free advertisement where you have a financial or other interests is against the rules.

And again it's just strange how he pops up out the blue trying to portray how amazing the game is and trying to get people signing up

Not sure whats odd about it. It's against to rules to upload videos during Alpha stage currently but should change soon. I don't think there's any videos on youtube of Rocket League. Just someone using fake thumbnails if you actually watch them.

I've already invited someone from here and his gotten then game already. Nothing "odd" about it.

How does it benefit him financially? Its no different from someone making a thread about Skyrim or GTA V. He is attracting attention to a game that has a very small community currently although it could be bigger if people gave the game a go. Its a great game and very skill based, he is offering people invites to the alpha as well. He doesn't need to do that. He could just tell you about the game and leave you to go try and get them yourself.

You also can't show alpha gameplay or screenshots. They said that they want to advertise it themselves first.

the difference is you didn't come out of the woodwork after 3 years just to make a thread about a small time game. just got to question his motives is all

Anyway no more posts from me, don't want to bump his thread more than I have to.
 
Who says you need to actively post? I highly doubt he made accounts on a bunch of different websites 3 years in advance to promote is amazing new game.
 
Alright, should we have the mods delete this one and have someone else make it with more posts for it to be fine?

I'm pretty sure the previous game was fairly popular on PS3 as well so just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean its a small time game or in any way bad.
