free backup for 2008r2 including all applications ?

Hi all,

I would like to backup my windows server 2008 r2 I run at home (for messing about with xbmc, virtual machines etc) including all programs and their configuration.... Can anyone recommend me a FREE tool for this please?

thanks, I had no idea windows could do a "bare metal" restore! Trying it now
