Free BMP to JPG Software

I'm looking for something that will (preferably) on a right click give me the option to convert a bmp to a jpg and then delete the original file. I've had a search on google but I can't seem to find any free stuff. I don't really want to buy anything because I'll probably only use it a couple of times. Has anyone used anything that can do this?

Well you can open a BMP in Paint and then save it as a JPG.

Obviously this is not a right-click feature, and doesn't delete the file. It works though, just takes a bit longer.

If you need to a convert a lot, Irfanview has a batch conversion option. It's also nifty and light if you want to convert just one file. http://www.irfanview.com/

I tried that but like you said it takes ages. I've got quite a lot to change that are in different folders so doing a batch run is also a no-go.

I've heard of this before but never tried it so I'll give it a go and see how I get on, thanks.
