Free Booking Management Software

I am currently researching into an online availablity CMS type system, which would be in the style of a hotel / guest house type site. Nothing at all is designed or finalised and am currently on the lookout for a good simple solution.
Something like the way ZenCart works would be ideal!
Needs to see availability on the website, and online booking would be good, but not essential. The simpler the better, as I will be the one setting it up, and have minimal web/php experience so need an all-in-one solution if it exists.

Help would be appreciated!

I can't think of a completely free solution to online availability and secure online booking but if you simply want to be able to allow someone to log in and amend availability on a calender then try :-

For secure online booking which can be easily integrated into a webpage/site, Supercontrol is quite good and really easy to setup and work with even for someone who doesn't have much PC savviness :-

It's not free though.

I like the second one, but the price is way high! It would be for 6 'properties'.

The first one is a good starter, and I will definatly be looking at them both.

Any more suggestions would be mucho appreciated!
