As title really. My wife and I want to play games together but while my PC is pretty beastly, her laptop is an older low-end AMD CPU.

So far all we have is Torchlight 2. But we would like to play something new.

We had a baby 2 months ago so while cheap is good, free is better :D

Thanks.

There are plenty of games out there, a lot will depend on what you enjoy playing together? RPGs, Adventure, RTS etc

As a few examples:
Minecraft
Baldur's Gate 1/2
Europa Universalis 4 (substitute for any Paradox game ever)
Worms
Splinter Cell (I believe Chaos Theory is where they added Co-op?)

Borderlands (any of them)
Sven Co-op
Deathspank series
Command and Conquer 3 onwards
Dawn of War 2
Gauntlet
Forced

Most of them are pretty cheap.

Was also going to suggest alien swarm.

Also heroes of the storm is a good free moba that's easy to get into.

Titan quest games can be had super cheap.

Same with diablo 2

Been meaning to play some online stuff with a mate for ages. When we finally got round to it we fired up a few games but got bored rather quickly.

Then Rocket League happened!

Great fun this one, very accessible, recommended.

Not on offer currently though although it's been down to about £7 before.

There is a key here for £9 however http://www.kinguin.net/category/18322/rocket-league-steam-cd-key/

As a heads up, Rocket league is in the next Humble Monthly for $12, along with whatever other games are added after the reveal. If you can wait almost 3 weeks for it, of course.

Terreria,
Monaco,
Worms revolution,
Sanctum 2,
Those will all run on a laptop, I have one which is oldish and by no means a gaming laptop and they're all great co-ops as well
