Finally getting round to creating a new website for myself, unfortunately my plusnet accoutn doesn't give me any free webspace where as my old one did - so whaere is the cheapest place to get some webspace?

Don't need a huge amount of space, just need space for creating a blog with a few pics.

regards,

Matt

tsohost.co.uk - their light package is £14.99/yr and everyone I've spoken to that uses them (the sheer number of people I know using them speaks for its self tbh) sings their praises.

Google - "Free Website hosting"

There appear to be a lot of options. Just using the one at the top of the list as an example:

http://www.freewebsitehosting.com/

100MB of Webspace
Freewebsitehosting.com is a free service. We can offer our services for free because Freewebsitehosting.com is advertiser sponsored. This means that a banner advertisement will be placed on Freewebsitehosting.com web pages. We hope this will not intrude too much on your web page. For those of you wanting to use Freewebsitehosting.com without a banner advertisement we offer Pro Accounts. Pro Accounts start at $6.95 per month and will allow you to use our hosting service with no banner at all.

Probably worth having a look at the Google results and see if any suit your needs.

I'd be inclined to spend the £15 and go with tsohost rather than free. You'd get much better service and uptime...
However if you're determined for free, then google them as to be honest all the free have pretty rubbish service compared to a decent host. I'm not knocking them, but after trying the free services I won't go back after going with tsohost. However, I must add that I use database and php, if it's a pure static site then you may get away with free....

Thanks for the replies.

tsohost looks just the thing for me.

Previously I have used dreamweaver to create my pages, what are people using nowadays?

Matt
