Windows Azure are doing 200$ free trials at the moment for up to 30 days. Linky below:

Basically you get $200 or £130 in my case to spend on what you want for up to 30 days. The trial period ends on whatever limit you hit first, time or $$$ spent. I've just spun up one of their large instances 4 cores from a 4171HE Opteron and 7GB of RAM. Based on the calculator (see linky below) it should last 23 days before the trial runs out of credit. This is of course based on a Windows instance, if you go linux it will go for longer.

Sign in with your MS account, it does ask for payment details but at the end of the trial it DOES NOT start auto billing you it just stops. If we all did this for 23 days we could have a decent temporary performance boost for 23 days (potentially). Will report back in a couple of hours with some performance stats.
