Free data Recovery Software

Hi all,

Working on my parents old PC, basically there no file system on it, however there were loads of family photos etc on it that I need to try and get off.

Looking for some decent data recovery to try and get it off. The drive shows up in disk manager but wants to be formatted if I try and access.

All I can find are these stupid free trials wanting money and I just don't trust paying them because they all look slightly dodge etc.

Thanks for that just tried it, but seen as there's no file system on the disk it won't scan it

This program just saved our arse at work, didn't want to send this drive of to a recovery company. It was coming up as a RAW disk. This program is winning!

Testdisk

Set it to scan your drive, and see if it can rebuild the partition table

Look for a guide on their website if you don't want to try as you go along..
