FREE domain name

Domains don't support or not support adsense, they're simply addresses that redirect to servers.
Also as far as I'm aware nowhere sells .co.uk domains for free (fairly oxymoronic anyway!).

But I guess what you're asking is what free hosting allows you to put your own ads on...

To sum up, I don't know, hopefully some-one else does :)

1and1 did give way .co.uk domains once and it didn't end well at all, first off you had to provide card details even though it was 'free'. They then tried to renew the domains automatically after the free period (2 years), if the renewal failed (due to an expired card, as a lot would after 2 years) they sent debt collectors after you for charges in excess of £100. The whole thing ended in a mess for a lot of people, some of which paid up.

*looks at spec in sig*
*wonders why £3 is too much to spend on a domain name*

Exactly. A domain name costs a few quid per year. Instead of searching for a free domain that probably doesn't exist, you could just pay up for one. It's extremely cheap.

Yes, there are things like .tk and .co.nr - but you're going for a tech audience, and nobody's gonna take a tech site seriously if it has a .tk domain name.

Also, don't use free hosting. It will either be rubbish or plastered with ads. You don't get something for nothing. Decent hosting is very cheap too for a small site.

I just bought my domain for £7 for 2 years.

If you look carefully you can get very cheap or free hosting. From the research I've done UK hosting is far more expensive than american hosting, so maybe have a look for some hosting over there?

Hey,

Are there FREE domain names that support google ads?

Come on. Domains cost bugger all nowadays. You can pickup up a .co.uk for around £5 for 2 years, hell I just bought a .me for £8 for 2 years. Looking at you computer spec, surely £5 isn't too much.

ok to change the subject slightly, i have a domain which i got from 123-reg.com, i then got a hostage package from Tsohost.co.uk, How do i get the domain to work with the tsohost? I have never done it like this before and whenever uploading a index file, it still directs you to 123-reg.com

You need to log in to your 123-reg control panel and change the DNS servers to point to your host and then wait up to 24hours for it to propagate (I've had it take up to 20hrs but also once had it done within 5mins.).

Nameserver 1: ns1.tsohost.co.uk
Nameserver 2: ns2.tsohost.co.uk

You'll just need to point your domain name to Tsohost's nameservers. I'm not familiar with 123-reg's control panel, but you should be able to set the nameservers to:

ns1.tsohost.co.uk
ns2.tsohost.co.uk

Which will then point the domain name to Tsohost and link your domain to your hosting.

You need to change your name servers at 123-reg.com to point to your hosting. There should be instructions either form TSO or 123.

edit: shouldnt have been distracted and still replied..
