Does anyone else think it kinda sucks?
I am a big fan of video game soundtracks but this one does not hit me particularly?!
Of course music is such a personal thing but in my opinion, the melodies are uninspiring, obvious and lacking any real harmonic texture.
Also, the sample libraries have clearly not been programmed that well, or at least had much time spent on sequencing them. If relic had the money, NOTHING beats real players playing real instruments for that true organic orchestrated sound.
Hell, those strings sound awful!! You can pick up a copy of Omnisphere for £280 these days with a wealth of other samples including strings that sound better than this release...bit of a wasted opportunity tbh!
Anyhow, this is of course just MY opinion and if they released it - there must be people enjoying it besides me so hey ho!!
