Free Download Manager (FDM)

Hi all,
apologies if there is already this thread and it is in the wrong place... but;

I have just got a hotfile account and they suggested using a download manager, the FDM manager and that it would work for both rapidshare and hotfile, however after much googling and many attempts I am still useless,

I just wondered if anybody could give me a quick dummies guide of how to use it to download a Hotfile link?? I appear to have got RS to work!

I'd recommend using Jdownloader over FDM.

All you need to do then is copy a link and it automatically downloads it. Also you can use it to extract archives automatically after download.

Ok thankyou, I've now got Jdownloader on the go, but it hasn't solved my original problem which was that my HF downloads were to slow. I'm too much of an amateur

Tried increasing the amount of connections at the bottom?

If it's still slow after that, either your premium account isn't set up right or your ISP is restricting you.

Or maybe your internet is just slow in the first place
