free dvd playing software

Ok ive always used PowerDVD with my other pc's since it comes free with Dell, but now ive built my own pc im at a bit of a dilema on how to play dvds with some preg 2 econding, it wont play in WMP. So are there any good free dvd playing softwares out there?

Edit: I have the PowerDvd software that came with my dell on disk its version 5.3, but i cant install it on my new pc because it says its not a dell, so is there a way i can copy the installation files off the cd and get rid of whatever file is stopping the installation on a non dell pc?

To play DVDs with WMP/Media Center/etc you need a CODEC, e.g. Cyberlink DVD decoder, ffdshow, etc. Try this

Get VLC Media Player. I use it to play Allo Allo series 5 from the USA and it seems to by pass all the region crap and even the copywrite stuff at the beginning. It's a class piece of software.
