Free, easy to use .avi joiner

Hey guys,

I need to join multiple .avi files (although, its possible other video file types might be used too...) together. I've tried Virtualdub and I can't seem to get to grips with it? Is there anything easier or even better out there

Vista comes with windows movie maker, that should do the job if you don't want to download anything. Its rather basic though.
