free editing software?

Use the software that came with the camera for basic editing. Anything above basic requires having to spend cash I'm afraid.

Pixlr do an online image editor that is pretty good, but also their famous pixlr-o-matic photo image enhancer is available as a free download. Just use your search engine for pixlr.

I think http://www.getpaint.net/ is great, it's what I use. It can take a little getting use to but the help panel/forum is brilliant & it is open source so you can download various ad ons/plugins that people make for it. It has a very strong community :)
