free editing software?

is there any good free image editing software?

ive used gimp before but im wondering if there are better ones?

Use the software that came with the camera for basic editing. Anything above basic requires having to spend cash I'm afraid.

Pixlr do an online image editor that is pretty good, but also their famous pixlr-o-matic photo image enhancer is available as a free download. Just use your search engine for pixlr.

i wanted somthing i could do from my computer.

downloaded windows photo editer thing and it has corrected the pics i wanted quite good.

I think http://www.getpaint.net/ is great, it's what I use. It can take a little getting use to but the help panel/forum is brilliant & it is open source so you can download various ad ons/plugins that people make for it. It has a very strong community
