I stopped using Outlook many years ago when gmail came alone. Until now it's been fine for my personal email however I've now taking on an official role outside of work. This means I need a client whcih allows pop3, a signature and multiple folders.

Spec me :)

Evolution. It used to be a Linux only client but it's been fully ported to Windows now. Inclusive of full MS Exchange support at no cost, full PIM/calendar/diary type system incorporated, it's light and fully standards compliant. Built on GPL code for the proverbial win. :)

For years, PC World and others have called Evolution the Outlook killer of the Linux world. We are now very proud to be able to provide this great piece of software to the Windows users of the world. We hope that it will aid them with communicating with MS Exchange without having to pay massive licensing fees for simply having the pleasure of doing so. If you find this to be of use to you, please consider making a donation in the download section. Thank you and enjoy.

Does Thunderbird have a calendar and if so can it sync with itunes/iphone?
Thunderbird itself doesn't have a calendar but there is the Lightning calendar extension. It's based on the Sunbird standalone calendar project but Mozilla now recommend using Thunderbird + Lightning.

Google Calendar should work with Thunderbird and iPhones.
