Free FTP Storage

I'm in the need for free FTP Storage.

Are there any that people would recommend?

I use drop box, its not ftp though. Works excellent for synching all my files across 2 laptops, and 3 pcs!

Not a huge amount.

Thanks for the other suggestions, but Dropbox isn't really what I'm after.

Why is it not suitable? If you use the public folder you can easily share files with others, the only real benefit of ftp space would be the fact that it's likely to offer website hosting and if you need that then get a host or use the space given to you free by your provider.

The fact that for someone else to access the files they need to download and install Dropbox.

No, they don't.

As said above, if you put them in your public folder, you just send them a link.

Dropbox is pretty simple.. Public and Private folders.

That's all you need to know.

I can't imagine there be many decent free ftp providers, as they will be a free webhost effectively, and those have tended to be pants...dropbox is the best I feel you'll get!

Thought it might disappoint!

There's nothing in my public folder but that!!! I just use Dropbox for work when I take pictures on my phone I upload them so I don't have to mess about with cables - by the time I've walked back to the office they have uploaded!
