Publisher THQ has released Spectrum Warrior for free. Originally released four years ago by Pandemic, the game was developed for the U.S. Army as a training tool, and then adapted for civilian use with extra booms and a storyline. If you like strategic squad games such as Ghost Recon then definitely take a look. The full 1.6GB game can be downloaded from FileFront

Thanks dafloppyone,
full spectrum warrior got good reviews at the time of it's release, especially on the xbox, but I never got a chance to play the full version.

Will be added to my increasing collection of free (legal) games.:)

So since this is courtesy of US Army and we already had one from US Airforce, we should get another from Navy I'm guessing.

Cheers for the headsup :)

There seems to be quite an influx of free games recently, it's rather awesome :)

Most of them were by Midway so far, basically released with ads which I suppose the best thing you can do once the product "shelf life" expired. Hopefully other companies will follow suit.

I remember playing this a few years back. It involves a lot of shooting around corners and that sort of thing. Quite hard to complete on the highest difficulty.
