Now, there's a nice little surprise.

A box appeared in the office this morning and we were told to take our pick of the games there. There were about 10 copies of each.

I got:
Prince of Persia: Sands of time
URU
Duke Nukem Manhattan
Ghost Recon
Morrowind
The Sum of all fears
Il-2
SS2
Rally Trophy
Beam Breakers
Zax: ALien Hunter
Oni
Ground Control 2
GT legends
Colin McRae Rally 2005

Not the most up to date, but they were free and a nice surprise :)

So....what do I play first?

i suggest you dont play morrowind first, otherwise itll be this time next year before you ask what game to play 2nd. That is of course if you like it, for me it was a fantastic game (better then oblivion in some cases) and thanks to the great modding community it lasted me a LONG time ;)

Morrowind. Just put the others in a safe place, otherwise when you come to play them in 2009 you wont have a clue where they've got to.

heh cool thanks I'll give Morrowind a try. Any essentials I should get to go with it? (gfx upgrades, mods etc)

Also, I seem to remember that GT Legends comes with Starforce copy protection. Should I be wary of it? From reading in the past, it seems that most folk think that it's the spawn of the devil.

yeah i would adsise getting the graphics pack, makes it look nicer :), plus you may need the widescreen hack if you have a widescreen monitor. Then i would play the game as normal, and after a while start installing different mods once you;ve got used to it.

starforce forces its own drivers onto your pc, which can cause tons of problems with cd/dvd drivers, and in some rare cases, the drivers can cause the drive to malfunction, doing potential damage by going faster then its ment to. Although actual damage to the drive is very rare, problems due to starforce are very common.

Personaly, i would never install a starforce game, i tried one in the past and had nothing but problems just because i had daemon tools installed (some of the problems may have been just because starforce sucks, and had nothing to do with daemon tools also being installed).

Hmm, that's worrying as I do have Daemon installed.
I liked the look of GT Legends too :(

might be worth checking if it actully requires starforce on the latest patches, other games have released offical patches that remove the need for starforce due to the thousands of complaints about it.

Hmm, I have GT Legends installed along with Daemon Tools also installed - I can't honestly say I've had any issues at all.

perhaps, I'm lucky?
