free mp3 editor recommendations

Hi there,

looking for recommendations for mp3 editing software, preferably visual for cutting mp3's for use as message alerts and ring tones.

ANy recommendations?

You will also need the lame MP3 endoder (or any other MP3 encoder for that matter). A quick google should locate it for you, I think free-codecs.com has it though.
