Free music naming program?

Is there such a thing, that when i point it to a folder, it will go through and re-name all my songs with "Artist" - "Song Title."

Obviously not that specific but i would like it like that :D

Any help would be awesome :D
 
Music Brainz Picard (and personally i like the QT version for its album art embedding ability) i've just tagged about 18gb of music with that, took a while but by far the quickest sainest way to do so, checka few threads down...
 
Ive used MediaMonkey in the past, fairly customisable and can imbed album art, searches through amazon for it.

The only thing is , it changes the date modified attribute of all the mp3 files ive recently tagged, cant find a way to stop this from happening. any alternatives which dont do this?
 
Music Brainz is different because it uses Audio fingerprinting to work it all out automatically, there really is limited user interaction, just sorting the few it gets wrong and correcting it. plus it embeds album art as it goes...
 
Said its an unregistered version then crashed on me after doing it all :(

It asks you to donate, but you just say no, if you get the QT version it doesnt even bother.

This is technically an alpha, but i've not heard a peep from it expect when i tried tagging 2000+ files in one go, it crashed, afer loading straight back up again and just sticking to about 500 to 1000 a go its been sweet as...
