Free Notes Application

Hello,
I am after a free notes application for windows 7. I don;t require the notes to be shown on the desktop but need it to be small, run direct from the exe and the user to be able to choose where the notes are stored.

I did find Express Notes which did it great but when I tried moving the folder of notes it all got confusing and the program failed to find the new notes folder and sort itself out. It also needed to be installed!

I have also already checked the freeware apps list on here

Any ideas guys?

I don;t want a text editor like notepad or notepad++.

Just a notes application.

Some things I might use it for:

When your on the phone to a company and they give you a reference number

An address of someone while they tell it you over the phone.

Product codes for software.

Stuff like that

Consider mind mapping software such as freemind. Using that for taking notes at work increased productivity for me.

hmmm, not too keen on the look of that,

I've settled my mind on the type of notes application I am after but just can't find one that fits. Express Notes was the closest so far though

this is already provided on windows 7. known as "sticky notes"

Using Express Notes for now until I can e-mail the developer asking for the following two things:

1). Non Install Version
2). Fix the moving of notes directories. (It doesn;t work in this version for some reason)
