Free/Open source backup software

Hi all,
Anyone using Iomega REV drives to backup their data? If so, what software are you using?

Some of our customers are using Veritas (pricey), some using Windows Backup (rubbish), and some using Iomega BackupPro (even worse). So can anyone recommend some free or open source that will backup to REV drives? They show up as CD drives in Windows, so anything that can backup to a folder would be great. If it could send an email when it has finished, that would be even better.

Any suggestions?

I use Cobian Backup. Not sure if it will work with your drive, id imagine it would. It's free,

Yeah, i've used Cobian previously, and found it to be pretty good. I don't remember it being able to send emails though? Can it, do you know?

Latest version can send a email log i beleive. It has a smtp option in the settings, never used it though.

dont know if its worth a look but SyncBack is free and works very well for me

Emails logs etc etc, lots of options in the menus.
