Free photo recovey software

Hi,

I’m trying to recover some lost photos from a Sony memory stick for my mums partner who went travelling for 3 months. He said he had a memory stick error and lost all his photos from New Zealand.

I have tried using GetDataBack for FAT as in the past I have easily recovered files from dead pen drives for people but this time it’s not worked.

Any suggestions for other programmes I could use, preferably free. I once had one with a picture of a dolphin on but uninstalled it the other day to make room on my HDD wish I hadn't now as I cant remember the name!

Hope you have more luck than me. My parents formatted the memory card acediently whilst trying to delete one picture. I tried about 30 different recovery software and none of them worked.

Recuvva didnt work at all but got about 200 lost pictures back using photorecovery.

Thanks guys will definately be using this in future.

Recover My Files is a brilliant piece of software. Found photos from a drive which had been formatted twice!

Yeah, there's a large percentage of recovery if the drive is quick formatted, not fully formatted.
