Can anyone recommend a free tool for resizing digital photos to a new resolution?

Are the photos all the same size? Do you want to resize them all to the same size? If you do, IrfanView is quite cool.

They would generally all be the same size and reduced to the same size, though I would generally be done one at a time, but if it's got a batch function all the better.

I'll give it a look.

If you are prepared to do them all individually then Paint.Net? Recently released 3.07 version now much smaller than normal as they've removed the help files and placed them online.

"FastStone Photo Resizer" will do this for you, you can find it and other utilities for this kind of operation in the Image/Photo Editors/Viewers section.
