Free photo stitching software

Just had a quick google search and couldn't come up with much, can anybody recommend any either free or cheap photo stitching software, thanks

Thanks. Meant to put that i've tried that, is there anyway to correct the perspective distortion in it?

I think Panatools is still a free plugin for photshop but it's a bit tricky and the manual is worse than an 80s VCR one

If he already has photoshop (cs2 only) then use file > automate > photomerge

Will have a look at that, tried photoshops stitching tool and it couldn't even decide what order the photos where in :confused:

Oh, didn't know it had that ability. That's one of the problems with Photoshop, it's so complex that you either don't know about or have forgotten about (at least) half the functionality.

Thats in CS aswell.

Although I often find it gives poor results, maybe its better in CS2. I use the photostitch that came with my 400d.

I've done a few shots and put them together using both pieces of software, the photoshop ones have been quite a bit poorer each time.

Is that software available for download plus I have a nikon (I know boo hiss and all that) and will it work. As I've said above the photoshop one carn't even arrange the pics in the right order, although it does a better job of correcting the perspective in the ones it can stitch.

I should imagine it will work just fine with nikons, it is just stitching together the image files afterall.

I will have a look to see if its available online for you.

It doesnt seem to be around for download.

I did find one link stating that if you didnt get a canon camera or if it wasnt supplied with said camera then you can buy it seperatley, but it didnt say where or for how much, and you are looking for free stuff anyway.

Also take a look at Hugin, a front end to panorama tools:

Opensource, and runs on win, mac and linux.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but has anyone used serif panorama plus 2? It was linked from the autostitch website and is only £20, just after a few opinions to see if its any good. Thanks
