Free publisher type software?

I want to make a recipe book with all my recipes in it.
So I need some sort of publishing program like Microsoft publisher, that I can create a standard form to use on every page.

Is there any free software like that. Open office doesn't appear to have anything similar, or am I just blind?

Or Open Office's word processor, surely? (Sounds like you would be able to get away with Word for what you are doing, hence Writer might be sufficient.)

You could always get the 30 day trial of Adobe InDesign.

Scribus is also very good though.
