Free Scanner Software

Anyone know of any free scanner software? Got a scanner but no software for it. Does not need to be fancy, just want to scan in some old photos.

What make of scanner are you using/ Normally the manufacturer provides not just a driver but significant software support. HP for example, provide photo porcessing stuff as well as quite good OCR.

incidentally, have you got a driver installed so that the scanner will work?

Its a scanner I was given a while ago so did not get anything with it, a HP one. Plugged it in and Vista found a driver for it so just need some software.

Will check out Picasa, cheers guys.
