Free Screen Recording Software (that records audio) from a webvideo

Hi all,

I need to record a video from a website, I was going to use a piece of on screen video recording software (something like Cam studio), however I have run in to some issues

I have selected the max frame rate, but its not as high as I had hoped, I am going to see if I can set this so its smoother

At the moment the Audio seems to be recording from my speakers, which means that it has background noise in.

Is there any other free software out there which can record the screen in decent quality and record the audio from the video (but not use the speakers? to record the audio from? IE so you cant hear other background noise).

OBS should be able to do it.

Are you recording yourself doing something on the website or is it an actual video on the site you're trying to copy? There's plenty of Firefox addons which can save videos instead.

If you've got a Nvidia card you could try using shadowplay to record your desktop.

Copy the clips address & stick it into a website like Keepvid or similar.

i use OBS for doing tutorials and i use it to record webpages etc.

Its a video from the site im trying to copy, I will try firefox extension, but I am wondering if they have copyright protection on there. Will have to check. I cant check at the moment as I need to sign up again for a 7 day trial.
