Spam filtering is normally done on server level now. Why the need for a local one?

As an interim for one user whilst server level filtering is implemented

Whatever you do, don't install the latest AVG. It's not a fan of Outlook 2010.

What about the one built into Outlook, just tweak its sensitivity settings? I set-up a W32 version of SpamAssassin server-wide for us a few months back, it works extremely well.

That's what I was wondering, but it's so obvious I decided I must be missing something, and I'd end up looking like a twonk if I suggested it.
