Free Spam Protection for Excange 03

Morning All,

I have enabled IMF on 03 but still getting a lot of junk through, is there any free software I can integrate with exchange that might help?

I am not aware of any free ones, but one's we have used are Exclaimer (currenty use), SpamFighter and GFI Mail Essentials.

If you have a spare box lying about take a look at untangled http://www.untangle.com/. Also have you setup the Real Time Block lists in Exchange? Spamhaus and SpamCop are good ones to use.

You will be hard done by to get something free for business use!! GFI is cheap and works. Not used this but if it is anything like messagelabs then you cannot go wrong -http://www.google.com/messagesecurity/compare.html

I posted them above, Positini did have a good a name for them selfs and like i say if there anything like messagelabs then you will not be able to fault the service.

We now tend to sell Exclaimer for Anti Spam and Signature/Disclaimer management. Does the job pretty well and you retrain control over your own mail rather than getting a 3rd party like Messagelabs involved.

Pretty cheap from memory, around £100 a year I believe.

Or look up some of the virtual appliances that will run under vmware server. All pre configured just a port 25 in and a IP address to forward it to.

SpamFighter is ultra straightforward with Exchange and has pretty good handling of actual Spam in that end users can get to it, just not mixed in with their regular Inboxes.

Might be something to consider if you don't want an admin headache sifting through stuff. Legit mail marked by overzealous rules disappearing into the ether is a pita!

Trying to get information out of Google on their Postini services is nigh-impossible
