Hi all,

My wife is looking for a punch bag for her kickboxing/boxing training and I offered to buy one for her - but not sure where to start :p.

She's happy with a free standing one but wants a good quality one that we can use for the foreseeable future ( e.g. has to be sturdy as well since my two boys are also doing kickboxing and one wants to start boxing).

I've looked at some sites/reviews and think something like the body fitness striketube might work but thought I'd check for any suggestions first.

Thanks!

I have one with the same design as https://www.mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-free-standing-punch-bag-base.html that I got a few years ago for about £80, filled the base with about 70Kg of play sand and it's solid, takes a full on punch from me without an issue.

I saw loads the same style at various prices when I got mine so I presume they are all made in the same factory with different company names on.

The one I have is branded Gallant

That looks decent, thanks I think I'll pick one up. Do you know if Mirafit is a reliable place to buy from?

I've got quite a bit from them recently and I cant fault them, normally delivered within a few days. not had any experience with after sales though but that's because ive not had any issues.

That looks great. Was looking at some elsewhere and they were over a grand

I picked mine up from Decathlon, really good quality, not too expensive.

They have them hanging up in store, so you know what you are buying.

That looks great too! Would it survive being outdoors and covered?

Edit: says not to store in a damp place :(
