When do you think we will start seeing support for it? I'm holding out on getting a new monitor in hopes that a 4k will get it... But really any monitor with support for it will be of high interest.

The hope is that since DP 1.2a has been ratified and accepted as standard by VESA, that new monitors will start appearing with it at no extra cost.

There is no reason to believe this won't happen given past experience. HDMI and DP port standards have advanced and been adopted over the years and monitor prices have not increased as a result.

Oh yea I know that. I have just yet to see any sort of demo which shows it actually being used on a monitor or any predictions as to when it will start becoming adopted.

DP 1.2a has only just been ratified a month. Eventually monitors will start showing up with DP 1.2a as standard. Sooner rather than later I would hope, though of course I have no idea of the time-scales for widespread adoption.

The Dell UltraSharp UP2414Q is listed as having DP 1.2a
