free to use images

i've been asked by a friend for somewhere i can get fairly cheap (<£1) or even better completely free to use images that can be used on a blog. i know of sites like http://www.sxc.hu but i'm not sure if they can be used on a site to add a little more then just text to an article.

You may use the Image

• In digital format on websites, multimedia presentations, broadcast film and video, cell phones.
• In printed promotional materials, magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, flyers, CD/DVD covers, etc.
• Along with your corporate identity on business cards, letterhead, etc.
• To decorate your home, your office or any public place.
