Is there any free ones, you install before hand. That track exactly what each piece of software installs and changes, so when you uninstall it clears absolutely everything out. And does this make a difference in maintaining system speed and stability.

Nah, both apps are well known (sony ericsson's pc suite and avg), I've sent him all the info! Thanks guys
Told him to start with the windows uninstaller app and then revo.

Ah, that's what the se pc suite was in your original post, thought it was maybe some dodgy security 'software' he downloaded and installed.
If the uninstallers don't work, how bout reinstalling the apps and then try uninstalling, or even upgrading to latest version and then uninstalling that ?
