I'm uploading at 10k in utorrent and still getting 900-ish k/sec so pretty damn good for free usenet!

Catch is that it is only free until 01/01/07. The service is run by easynews so I expect it to be pretty reliable.

Also the retention is fairly small, seems to be about the same as blueyonders which puts it at about a week to a week and a half.

Seems pretty good, but updating headers takes FOREVER! Leeching is pretty quick, but the header update is only going a measly 200-300KB/s.

Unless there is an option in newsleecher?

I only ask because I'm too lazy to add more credit to that 'NZB' site

I'm with Zen so I get 7 days retention anyway & its free.
If I wasnt with Zen though i'd use this to its max simply because its free!

Just subscribed to one group, pulling headers in at < 10KB/Sec.

I wonder if this is being set up because of the volume of complaints by euro customers of poor speeds to the US version?

Argh migrate immediatley. I would'nt even last a day.

Shame I've just signed up to Thundernews for 6 months. Its unlimited tho so all is good...

I’m seriously considering it; I had a Giganews trial and almost cried when 20 connections were only producing a throughput of 20 KB/s.

EDIT: Actually, while I’m at it, any NTTP friendly and gamer friendly ISP’s anyone wants to suggest?
