Free version of snagit - image capture ?

Hi,

I use Snagit at work and think it's really good. But also think it would be handy for our users. However with over 200 users would end up being really expensive !!

Any free / cheaper alternatives ??

I know windows 7 has it built in, but we're still on windows xp / Windows 2003 for Citrix.

What's wrong with the print screen button? Or alternatively, ALT+PRNT SCRN if you only want the active window?

Or are you trying to be even more precise with screen grabs?

Yeah, a few examples was they wanted a particular chart / diagram from a PDF or Website.

recently started using this in work, it is an improvement over the standard snipping tool / print screen

the ability to do timed shot is great
