Here's what I want to do. I'm recording myself playing my TD9 vdrums as a midi track in Mixcraft 7, and I'm triggering EZ Drummer sounds from the laptop rather than the default TD9 sounds. I've also got my Zoom Q3 HD on a tripod ready to video myself at the same time. So then I want to sync the video with the finished Mixcraft recording.

So I need something with a timeline.

I'll need to do some sort of clapperboard effect or 3 hits at the very start that both the midi track and the Zoom pick up, so I can manually line up the audio from both the Mixcraft recording with the audio from the Zoom by using the visual spikes, and then delete the Zoom audio track. What software can someone recommend?

Blender is pretty good for syncing files up with a timeline.

Apparently very good but complex to learn and time consuming to edit with according to a video I just watched for best video editing software. I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should try Davinci Resolve 12.5 as that seems to be highly regarded. I just don't want anything with a steep learning curve, it's really only to sync and trim AV.

I downloaded the free trial for Pinnacle Studio 17. Perfect for my needs, pretty easy to use.
