Afternoon All,

In the next few weeks I'll be taking over with chopping up game footage from the Brechin games as the current guy is going over to America for the next 2 - 3 months. I'm assuming that I'll be able to use camera's software to transfer the raw footage to my pc but what I need to do is chop things up to send the highlights to the SPFL (probably via Dropbox or something similar).

As I'm just going to be doing it for a couple of months what's the best free software to cut up 90 mins of football to a few 20 - 30 clips of the goals etc?

Cool cheers. Just downloaded it and had a little play around with a random clip and seems to do just the job.

I've got handbrake already for converting vids onto my iPod. Just need to see the guy today to get the info for sending stuff through to the SPFL now! Or just get the log in details for BCFCVids on Youtube to upload stuff there :D

Right, a bump of this topic. I've been using Movie Maker for the last month or so and for what I'm using it for is fine.

My latest highlights reel

I'm finding things a little bit restrictive in the sense that I'd like to add in image / text overlays similar to the highlights below from East Fife.

Would Adobe Premiere Elements 12 allow me to do this? I'm used to using other Adobe products like Photoshop and Lightroom so I should be used to the layout and functionality of the product.

Any advice would be most welcome :)

Cheers, will take a look at that in the next few days and see how i get on. The cost of the software isn't that much either so its no great expense if it'll make the videos look a bit more professional.

I've had a wee look at Premiere and it seems to fit the bill ok. A little bit fiddly until I get used to i guess and at 60quid its not breaking the bank. Cant see myself forking out double for Sony Vegas even if it is better. May still download a trial version (not looked to see) if there's one available.

Just need to get a few graphics made to overlay on top of the videos and I'll be sorted :)
